When We Dream
Sultry currents sashay through open windows
And permeate the midnight air,
Soothing saturated skin & parched lungs…
Detecting and deflecting dreams of despair.
Infinite suns adorn heaven’s eternal expanse
& dazzle distinctly in the darkness,
And while we take our rest,
We dream and fabricate
Sensual abstract visions
& our thoughts emancipate.
Ah… to linger and remain in hibernation
& to comprehend the sensation of jubilation…
Full body elation…
But I suddenly awake from sweet slumber,
With the intention that you will remain there
Until midnight returns,
When I am once again reunited with your spirit…
Because as marvelous & magnificent as it may seem,
Even when you are absent from my presence,
Our souls are connected when we Dream.
